We consist of 76 members working in various capacities. 10 – Field Supervisors 47 – Field inspectors ( 30B, 7E, 10P/M )  5 – Working in Permit Center ( 5B )  4 – Working in Plan Check ( 2E, 2P/M ) 10 – Public Works Inspectors7 – Field Inspectors on AWS (does not include Supervisors or Public Works) 6 – New Inspectors on probation 4 – Retiree rehires ( ~ 2 days a week, 960 hrs max per year ) 1 – Retiree in plan check 1 – Retiree in permit center  Out of 34 field inspectors who can receive weekly OT, 11 have selected ‘Yes’ to receiving weekly OT. If you can, sign up for OT for February and March. ABMEI Members,

We need your help and it will take a collective effort. As we all know, we’ve been 2-4 weeks out for quite a while in delivering scheduled inspections. This time delay is making it hard for everyone and puts us at risk as management looks into solutions that may not be advantageous to our group.

We’re asking for the months of February and March that all inspectors commit to working at least 2 Saturdays each month and those with an AWS, to work days off when possible. We recognize that many of you have already been working a lot of overtime. Thanks for considering and for your continued commitment and efforts. 

During this time we will be documenting our ‘good faith efforts’ (OT hours) of all our inspectors. This will help as we deal with management and their responsibilities to us. Please take the time to figure out your schedule and signup.
